What I Do Now and More of My Background
Currently, I am translating samples of books from French into English After working for 10 years for the Newark Star-Ledger, I worked for three years as a fine arts critic for The Litchfield County Times, was a contributor to Town & Country Magazine, Art &Auction, Hamptons Magazine, and American Record Guide. Also wrote program notes for the 92Y in New York City and the Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra in Stamford, Ct. Attended French schools from the age of five to 13. Continued French studies through Secondary School and College, although I left the latter in my third year without a degree because of a job offer. I lived in France with my parents for two years and by myself in my late teens for a year. I also lived in the French-speaking part of Switzerland for four years at a boarding school. I have translated for the late Cy Coleman, the public relations firm of the late Peter Gravina and I have worked as a researcher for the head of the New York bureau of Paris-Match Magazine. I have also had several students whom I tutored French or English to. The viewers I would like to reach are writers of all varieties, publishers and publications of all varieties, magazines or newspapers that need French translation, students with papers that need to be edited, professors that need translating or editing, students or individuals seeking to learn French or English with a tutor at any level of proficiency. |
